Human beings, too, are many things, and being one, wholly, does not stop us being another which might seem, rationally, incompatible. This was the thought your poem brought forth from me. Thank you.
Thank you, Clare! Yes! That was my feeling/intention. One thing I’m enjoying about this poetry “phase” (which I hope never goes away) is that, like visual art, it speaks to the reader/viewer through their own filters and takes on a life of its own outside of my original thought. I like that…
I love the colors of the leaves, and your description is so apt. It brought back memories of living in the NW and feeling alive with the brilliance of these bright autumn colors and the crisp morning air. It’s like nature ushers in another phase of life in a blaze of glory. And even though this new phase is a resting period,we are awakened to the joy of life!
So eloquently put, Nina. It’s wonderful how that blaze of glory ushers a resting phase. I love the seasons – all of them – and this particular tree in our backyard is my favorite! Thanks for your great comment, Nina.
Namaste,
Cathy
Thanks, V.
Yes, we’re past Autumnal Equinox, so heading towards Winter Solstice. We get a very early darkness, especially after daylight savings time goes away. Maybe time time pull out the light box…

Beautiful photograph Cathy, but I so hate shorter days and cold nights. The early darkness can be quite a downer.
Thanks, V.

I can’t wait to see what you do with your new poetry “bug.” Your songs are so wonderful, so you’re already a natural! Thank you, Russ.
